These little earrings remind me of the scallop shell known as the Langford's Pecten, one of the 10 rarest shells endemic to Hawai'i.

These are delicate and almost weightless. Length is slightly less than 1" from the top of the earwires to the ends of the shells, which are teeny at just 3/10" in diameter.
